The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This role is pivotal in ensuring, through effective leadership and management, that all students receive high quality learning, pastoral, Maths & English and academic support. The post will manage budgeting and line management of campus support staff, and work with the Management Team to drive campus goals and targets related to student outcomes. The role also acts as Exam Officer and liaises with external organisations from awarding bodies to local authorities and agencies. We are Access Creative College (ACC), formerly Access to Music, and were founded in 1992. We are an Ofsted Good provider with 7 campuses and over 2,500 students nationwide. We are part of Access Education Group with 32 campuses and over 5,000 students & apprentices across ACC, dBs Institute (Higher Education) & Access Sport.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management: Lead on effective budgetary management of support and Maths & English, including local authority funding and campus staffing budgets; contribute to a thorough self-assessment process and deliver an annual quality improvement plan within student support and Maths & English; contribute to the implementation of current delivery strategies; implement and oversee a robust governance schedule; provide visible and decisive leadership in response to emerging issues.
- Staffing: Communicate effectively through regular team meetings; lead on ALS & M&E timetabling and planning; manage performance and deployment of ASL and M&E staff; conduct professional development reviews; identify training needs; supervise staff and mentor where appropriate; act decisively to maintain high standards and performance; assist with staff selection and appointment within the support team or wider campus; review and manage performance targets.
- Student Support and Safeguarding: Review, recruit and manage SEND students (including those with an EHCP); lead on student-at-risk strategies; manage pastoral care, mental health and wellbeing; lead DSL role and manage safeguarding team to ensure a safe student environment; manage internal learner management systems; coordinate communication with external agencies in safeguarding or wider student support needs.
- Maths and English: Act as campus Exams Officer ensuring exams are facilitated and compliant; drive performance of Maths & English through targeted interventions and collaboration with M&E teachers.
- General Responsibilities: Contribute to campus management and administration; deputise for the Director of Campus when needed; represent campus interests with stakeholders; manage internal systems and processes; uphold Health and Safety policy and promote equality and diversity; comply with Safeguarding Children and Young People requirements; undertake additional duties or projects as directed by the Director of Campus.
