Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Engineers Mate to assist our installation engineers with the fitting, servicing, and maintenance of security systems. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to build a career within the security and access control industry. The successful candidate will support engineers on-site, help with installations, digging, carrying equipment and materials, assist with cable runs, and ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting engineers with the installation of:
- Access control systems
- CCTV systems
- Door entry systems
- Gates and barrier systems
- Intruder alarms
- Supporting with maintenance and repair work
- Running cables and preparing equipment
- Loading and unloading tools and materials
- Keeping work areas clean and safe
- Following health & safety procedures on-site
- Travelling to customer sites with engineers
- Learning industry systems and installation practices
Requirements
- Good practical and hands-on skills
- Full UK driving license
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and good timekeeping
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Comfortable working on construction and commercial sites
