An unique opportunity for Japanese speaker – those who are passionate to promote and develop new business opportunity for both Japanese and UK/European corporations.
Outline:
Carry out the following business activities in order to support investment in Japan and collaboration with Japanese companies by local companies with innovative technologies and products in the fields of sustainability, digital and Deeptech in Europe.
- Listing potential target companies that are interested in investing in Japan
- Approaching target companies (e.g. participating in exhibitions, conferences, networking events, cold emails, SNS such as Linkedin, introductions from local support organizations)
- Consulting on investing in Japan for target companies (such as research, proposals, responding to inquiries, creating minutes, follow-up, case managemen, in cooperation with staff at headquarters in Japan)
- Supporting business matching for target companies
- Following up on existing case companies, managing information, understanding performance
- Networking with relevant organizations in each country to discover target companies
- Planning and supporting pitch events/reverse pitch events to discover target companies and matching collaborative partnerships
- Necessary liaison and coordination with the relevant departments at headquarters in Japan
- Other tasks that need to be handled by the team
Requirements:
- Native level of English and Conversational Japanese language
- Industrial knowledge and practical experience in the fields of sustainability, digital, or Deeptech is preferred
- Work experience within corporate business environment
- A thorough understanding of social, cultural, and business customs in the UK
- Communication skills in order to build good relationship with potential local businesses
- Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Salesforce
Conditions:
- On-going full-time temporary contract to start with
- Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
- Salary – equivalent to £29-30,000 per annum
- Location: London
