We’re looking for a talented & qualified Audit Executive who thrives in a dynamic environment and embraces the chance to tackle complex challenges. At MHA, you’ll be surrounded by passionate professionals who are dedicated to making a difference. Your work in Audit will go beyond the numbers – it’s about building meaningful client relationships, understanding their businesses, navigating risks, and delivering insights that drive real results.
- Managing a portfolio of clients in a variety of industries, ensuring deadlines are met, in compliance with necessary regulations, and reporting directly to Managers, Directors and Partners.
- Directly deal with correspondence from clients to organise assignments, agree timing of work and scheduling.
- Ensure the planning memorandum is produced, identify risk areas and most efficient method of gathering audit evidence.
- Supervise and review work of seniors, semi seniors and juniors, ensuring the file is complete and all review points are addressed before it passed to the Manager or Partner.
- Liaise with relevant departments to make sure compliance work is planned at the right time.
- Collate project raw data and summarise into suitable format for review (e.g. first draft projections/reports).
- Monitor filing deadlines and ensure deadlines are achieved, including corporation tax and Companies House filings.
- Complete on‑site visits to clients and act as their trusted advisor, building key relationships.
What We’re Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified + practice experience
- Basic knowledge of how to prepare tax computations (desirable)
- Computer experience – Sage, Excel, Word and ideally CaseWare
- Previous experience of supervising junior members of staff - preferable (6-12 months experience)
- Good up‑to‑date technical knowledge including recent developments in accounting standards
- Communication – oral and written, ability to deal with variety of people in different environments
- Organised – ability to deal with a variety of tasks and managing a varied workload
- Client focused
