We are looking for an experienced CMM Inspector to join the Quality team within a precision machining division supplying components into Motorsport, Automotive, and Defence sectors. This is a great opportunity for a confident, detail-focused inspector to work closely with the Engineering team on a variety of high-spec, high-throughput components.
The Role:
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of components to required quality standards
- Perform CMM inspection using Aberlink software
- Generate CMM programs to measure components in CNC mode
- Manually measure parts using verniers, micrometres, gauges and callipers
- Work with a range of materials including aluminium, steel, castings and cast iron
- Write CofCs, ISIRs and FAIRs, and raise concessions where required
- Document quality issues and report non-conformances
- Compile detailed inspection reports
- Read and interpret technical drawings, geometric features and tolerances (GD&T)
What We're Looking For:
- Proven CMM inspection experience, ideally with Aberlink software
- Experience generating CMM programs
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Confident reading technical engineering drawings
- Comfortable working with hand tools/gauges as well as CMM equipment
- Manual handling training/lifting equipment experience desirable (training provided if needed)
- Methodical, accurate, and able to work well within a busy engineering team
