A well established sheet metal fabrication company, based in north Leicestershire. Offering a full manufacturing service from prototyping through to delivery, supplying multiple sectors. The facility includes CNC laser and punch machines, CNC press brakes, welding bays, a prototype bay, paint plant, and assembly area.
We're looking for an experienced Quality Inspector with a full fabrication background to join our team on day shift.
The Role:
- Inspecting sheet metal fabrications at various stages of production, from raw material through to finished, powder-coated components
- Checking parts against technical drawings and specifications using appropriate measuring equipment
- Identifying and reporting non-conformances, working with production teams to resolve issues
- Carrying out first-off, in-process, and final inspections across laser cut, formed, welded, and assembled parts
- Maintaining accurate quality records and documentation
- Supporting continuous improvement across the workshop
What We're Looking For:
- A full background in sheet metal fabrication (laser cutting, forming, welding, assembly) is essential
- Proven experience in a quality inspection role within a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Confident using measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Good communication skills, comfortable liaising with production and management
