Are you an experienced MHE instructor looking for a role where you can make a real difference to warehouse safety and training standards? We're recruiting for an MHE Instructor / Warehouse Operative to join a busy logistics team, combining hands-on warehouse operative duties with ownership of all MHE training on site. This is a great opportunity for a qualified instructor who wants variety in their day — from training new starters on counterbalance, PPT and Flexi/pivot steer trucks, to picking, storing and dispatching stock as part of the core warehouse team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing and owning all forms of MHE training on site, including novice, refresher and familiarisation training
  • Receiving and safely storing inward products, and picking and dispatching outward products
  • Safeguarding customers' products and ensuring safe storage and timely dispatch of raw and finished goods
  • Completing accurate paperwork and quality/process control checks to support customer contracts
  • Flagging any hygiene, damage or quality issues to your manager
  • Working safely at all times, protecting both your own safety and that of the wider warehouse team

What you'll need:

  • A valid ITSAR or RTITB instructor certificate for MHE, covering a minimum of 10 days' training and covering counterbalance, PPT (powered pallet truck) and Flexi/pivot steer trucks
  • Experience safely operating warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and forklift vehicles
  • Basic PC literacy, with the ability to use warehouse management systems (training provided where needed)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • A team player who communicates well and stays focused on getting the job done safely and to a high standard
  • Flexibility to rotate shifts across a 24-hour period when training needs require it

What's on offer:

  • £29,000 - £32,000
  • Core hours of 10am – 6pm, with shift flexibility built in for training cover
