Job Description
We are currently recruiting Night Warehouse Operatives on behalf of a well-established logistics and delivery company.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals to join a busy warehouse operation, supporting the safe and efficient handling of freight during night shifts.
About the Role
As a Night Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight from vehicles, ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently, and supporting the smooth running of the warehouse operation.
Please note: This role involves handling very heavy freight, including items of unusual and oversized dimensions. The work is repetitive and physically demanding.
Key Responsibilities
* Loading and unloading freight from vehicles safely and efficiently.
* Handling very heavy loads, including freight with abnormal and oversized dimensions.
* Carrying out repetitive manual handling tasks throughout the shift.
* Ensuring the correct freight is loaded for delivery routes.
* Checking freight against relevant paperwork and scanner information.
* Following manual handling procedures and health and safety guidelines.
* Using the correct equipment to handle and move freight.
* Reporting damaged goods or any issues to the supervisor.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
* Following company procedures and wearing the required PPE.
* Ensuring the security of freight and company property.
* Supporting the team to meet operational targets and deadlines.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience is desirable.
* Ability to carry out physically demanding and repetitive manual handling tasks.
* Comfortable handling very heavy and oversized freight.
* Good attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
* Commitment to health and safety procedures.
What We Offer
* £12.71 per hour.
* Monday to Friday night shift (between 22:00-06:00 usually 20:00-02:00)
* Ongoing support from our recruitment team throughout your assignment.
