Accept Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be supporting one of our leading clients who are an established consultancy based firm with over 30 years of experience. Due to continued expansion and the progression of internal teams, they are looking to recruit an experienced Structural Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior structural engineer or a structural engineer looking to take on a more senior role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering projects with detailed knowledge of structural design and detailing using all relevant UK and European codes of practice.
- Attendance at design, project progress, and client engagement meetings.
- Liaising with contractors, clients, third party organisations and stakeholders, answering queries in relation to technical detailing.
- Design in all forms of construction including steelwork, reinforced/precast concrete, masonry and timber.
- Structural appraisals of commercial, industrial and residential structures.
- Management of projects cost and programme.
- Produce sketches, drawings and writing structural appraisal reports.
- Supervising the CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineers on technical/construction details and undertaking QA reviews.
Requirements:
- Confident in the design of timber, masonry, steel and concrete to British Standard or Eurocodes.
- Experience in undertaking structural surveys for a range of scenarios including residential and commercial defects.
- Good experience of structural analysis and appropriate use of design software.
- Be proactive without supervision when required.
- Minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
- Full UK driving license and own transport.
