Account Manager – Machining & Manufacturing Birmingham | Up to £50,000 DOE Days Pension + Healthcare + Benefits package Are you an experienced Account Manager with a background in engineering or manufacturing? A well-established, birmingham based manufacturer is looking for a confident relationship-builder to take ownership of our key customer accounts and act as the vital link between our customers and our internal teams. The Role As Account Manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for our strategic accounts, building long-term partnerships and ensuring customer expectations around service, delivery and quality are consistently met. You'll work closely with engineering, production, planning and quality teams to keep orders on track and customers informed every step of the way. What You'll Be Doing * Owning the commercial relationship for a portfolio of key customer accounts * Leading regular customer review meetings covering performance, delivery and quality * Working cross-functionally with engineering, production, planning and quality to ensure customer requirements are delivered * Monitoring orders and programme progress, proactively resolving risks or delays * Managing communications on order status, schedules and delivery updates * Supporting contract review, identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts * Handling customer queries and complaints professionally, addressing root causes * Maintaining accurate account records and producing performance reports * Representing the business at customer visits, audits and meetings What We're Looking For * Proven experience in account management or customer relationship management * Experience managing key/strategic accounts and long-term business relationships * Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, engineering and quality teams * Strong IT literacy, including Excel and ERP/CRM systems * Experience in a machining or low-volume machining environment desirable * Degree in Business, Engineering or related field desirable (not essential) What's On Offer * Up to £50,000 depending on experience * The chance to work with a well-established engineering business * A varied, customer-facing role at the heart of the commercial team If you're a customer-focused account manager who thrives on building relationships and keeping things moving, we'd love to hear from you.
