Accept Recruitment is recruiting for two roles based in Frankley, Birmingham:
- CNC Operator / Programmer (CNC Programmer Setter Operative)
- Buoyancy Operative (Buoyancy Technician)
Both positions are within a manufacturing environment producing and finishing syntactic materials, working to production schedules and quality standards.
Role 1: CNC Operator / Programmer
A hands-on role involving programming, setting and operating CNC milling machinery (3-axis and 5-axis) to produce finished products to specification.
Key responsibilities:
- Program, set and operate CNC machinery (3-axis and 5-axis)
- Work to production schedules and SOPs to meet quality and delivery targets
- Carry out quality checks and correct issues to minimise waste/rework
- Record production/stock data using basic computer systems
- Follow Health & Safety requirements at all times
Essential:
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Strong CNC programming/setting/operating experience
- Able to understand engineering drawings
Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Thu 07:30-16:00, Fri 07:30-13:00)
Role 2: Buoyancy Operative (Buoyancy Technician)
A production role supporting the day-to-day processes in the buoyancy unit. Training provided across areas of the unit.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate automated and manual plant/machinery (including CNC machinery where required)
- Carry out quality checks and report imperfections
- Use lift trucks to move materials and finished goods (where required)
- Record stock/product data using basic computer systems
- Maintain housekeeping/basic maintenance standards
- Follow Health & Safety requirements at all times
Essential:
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Experience in a manufacturing/machine operator role
- Quality inspection experience
Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Thu 07:00-16:45)
Benefits: Death in Service, Pension, Profit Share
Pay Rate/Salary: £12.21-£14.00 per hour, depending on experience
Contract Type: Temporary/Temp to Perm
