In this role :

You’ll lead the development of complex, multi-tower and multi-service transformation opportunities within the Solution Architecture & Planning team. These span UKI Digital Core offerings including Managed Service Reinvention, Intelligent Infrastructure Services, and Custom and Platform Software Development augmented with AI. You’ll architect end-to-end integrated solutions using the best mix of offerings, assets and capabilities to maximise value for the client and Accenture, and ensure they align with the client’s organisational goals. You act as the subject matter expert and decision-maker on solutions that span multiple teams, and present them to senior leadership through the approval process.

Senior Solution Architect, UKI Digital Core Solutioning

You’ll shape and win technology transformation and infrastructure deals within the UKI Digital Core Solutioning team, working across the Technology Transformation and Intelligent Infrastructure Services offerings. You advise CIOs, CTOs and CDOs, build the business case and economics, and turn the agreed solution into delivery and mobilization plans. You work closely with Sales Pursuit and Delivery teams, and you act as the subject matter expert and decision-maker on solutions that span multiple teams.

What you’ll do

  • Translate client requirements into differentiated, winnable and deliverable solutions.
  • Set direction and give strategic guidance so solutions align with client business goals and industry trends.
  • Lead cross-functional discussions and explain complex technical ideas clearly to stakeholders.
  • Build business cases, estimates, delivery approaches and mobilisation plans.
  • Apply deep technical architecture, packaged software or customer architecture skills, either on a standalone deal or within a bundle of offerings.
  • Drive continuous improvement in solution design and implementation, and raise quality standards.
  • Coach mid-level architects.

What you’ll need

  • Expert technical architecture: expert proficiency in Digital Solutions Technical Architecture, with end-to-end coverage of applications, integration, data, cloud and security, credible modernisation roadmaps and clear trade-offs.
  • AI, in two ways: designing enterprise AI and agentic solutions for clients, and using AI in your own solutioning (discovery, architecture, estimation, delivery), with proper governance and human oversight.
  • Hands‑on proving: prototypes, demonstrators and reusable reference architectures, not just slides.
  • Commercial judgement: turning technical choices into estimates, running costs, dependencies and risks, including realistic AI productivity and consumption assumptions.
  • Thought leadership: clear points of view on AI‑native engineering and technology modernisation, packaged into reusable propositions and assets.
  • Client communication: the ability to lead with a point of view and understand the issues facing the CIO, CTO and CDO.

Desirable certifications

Technology Architecture, Cloud Architect (professional level), and a frontier AI architect certification.

Practicalities

  • Security clearance is likely, which requires at least 5 years’ continuous UK residence.
  • Expected Years of Experience: 10-12 years.

What’s in it for you

At Accenture in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package which includes 30 days’ vacation per year, private medical insurance and 3 extra days leave per year for charitable work of your choice!

Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver this role as there may be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery of the first‑class services we are known for.
