Software Engineer in Midlothian

Locations: Glasgow or Edinburgh (must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis)

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

• Several years of industry experience as a Java‑focused full‑stack engineer, with strong front‑end experience using modern frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
• Proven experience building end‑to‑end solutions, owning features from design and implementation through to deployment and production support.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud‑native architectures.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code within AWS (e.g. Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi).
• Experience designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Strong engineering standards across accessibility, security, performance and caching.
• Proven team leadership experience, including leading engineers day‑to‑day, setting technical direction, and growing careers through coaching, mentoring and structured feedback.
