Role Overview: You will work on projects across a range of public sector clients, including central government departments, the NHS, arms‑length bodies, private health clients, research and regulatory bodies, and integrated care systems. The role requires you to be the face of Accenture to the client, working with senior stakeholders to advise, challenge and coach. It involves developing a detailed understanding of your client’s business, driving issue‑based discussions, cultivating trust‑based relationships, and leading teams to deliver value‑centric, data‑driven outcomes. You must be willing to undergo a Security Clearance process, requiring at least five years residency in the UK and no absence of more than 30 days consecutively.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of business cases and financial models for public sector clients, supporting senior decision‑makers on complex investment, transformation and policy choices.
  • Own streams of complex work that meet client expectations and deliver excellence.
  • Lead teams – often blended with Accenture, client personnel and suppliers – to synthesise high‑quality business cases and navigate formal governance and approvals.
  • Engage senior stakeholders in government and health settings, structuring problems, developing clear strategic narratives, and presenting recommendations.
  • Operate at all stages of a project/programme lifecycle, from proposal through full delivery, managing risks and working with senior client partners.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced consultant capable of leading and delivering business cases for public sector clients.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capability, including Excel and interpretation of complex data sets.
  • Experience building or reviewing financial, economic or analytical models, aligned to HM Treasury Green Book principles.
  • Experience translating analysis into clear recommendations and decision points for senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and continuous improvement skills.
  • Designing and implementing operating models, supply chain transformation or data‑driven consulting services in the public sector.
  • Experience with Agile techniques and frameworks, and ability to lead Agile teams.
  • Knowledge of PRINCE, MSP or other project/programme management methodologies and governance.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Qlik.
  • Understanding of UK public sector investment committees, stock‑take processes or assurance processes.
  • Professional qualifications or training in financial modelling, economics, appraisal or related disciplines.
  • Exposure to Cloud, Agentic or Generative AI technologies is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capability to influence senior stakeholders.
