Accenture Strategy's UK Banking and Capital Markets business shapes the future for banks, asset & wealth managers and exchanges. The outlook for these sectors is certainly challenging with digital transformation, regulatory scrutiny, margin pressure and the burden of legacy operating models and technology. At the same time, stakeholders of all types expect new value to be delivered – value linked to sustainability and responsibility.
You can expect to be involved in a range of projects helping clients with Business and Operating Model change, Corporate Strategy, M&A, innovation, growth and much more. We are seeking motivated Senior Managers to help drive the growth of our practice.
In this role you will lead successful strategy engagements addressing our clients' business challenges, delivering lasting and distinctive outcomes and value in disciplines such as:
- Corporate and Business Strategy: Helping our clients with "Go to market" strategy design, including portfolios and product offerings assessment, divestments decisions, offerings expansion, booking model design and implementation.
- Operating Model Strategy and Transformation: Helping our clients to establish new mindsets and structures that drive long term value aligned to their strategic direction.
- Innovation and Growth: Solving for profitability and enterprise value by helping our clients to reimagine value chains and offerings.
You will lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver tailored strategic solutions across various Banking and Capital Markets sectors, focusing on:
- Leveraging deep industry knowledge and market trends to shape client strategies, ensuring long-term business success.
- Cultivating strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives, guiding them through pivotal decision-making processes.
- Driving business development by identifying growth opportunities, contributing to sales efforts, and actively building and managing a strong sales pipeline.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams across functions, fostering relationships that promote knowledge sharing and support for client delivery and growth.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, data-driven recommendations that exceed client expectations and drive measurable results.
We are looking for experience in the following:
- c.10 years' relevant experience in the Banking and Capital Markets industry.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record. An advanced degree or MBA is a plus but not essential.
- Deep functional experience at a top tier or boutique consulting firm or through an 'in-house' consulting / business development role (e.g. Group Strategy, Group Corporate Development), with a particular focus on:
- Corporate and business strategy definition.
- Business model assessment, design and implementation.
- Operating model assessment, design and implementation.
You will have an excellent understanding of how Banking and Capital Markets clients operate including products, players, value chains, business models, operating models, industry trends and challenges and regulatory frameworks and will demonstrate:
- A Deep experience of research, quantitative analysis, structured problem solving and executive communication techniques.
- Experience developing external thought leadership and relevant points of views across Banking and Capital Markets with strong knowledge of ecosystem trends, prevailing investment themes and client challenges, customer trends, new technologies, and implications of economic and political changes.
- Proven experience of building relationships at all levels in an organization, especially with client Senior Executives.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional medium to large size teams, or multiple engagements, and consistently delivering on complex, high profile strategy engagements.
- Strong evidence and experience of developing, coaching, mentoring and inspiring team members.
- Strong track record in sales origination, including end-to-end identification, qualification and closure of opportunities.
- Strong track record in strategy and consulting engagement financial management, including resource and cost management, contract management and client negotiation.
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
