Overview
As a Strategy Consultant in Accenture’s Resources Strategy team, you will help clients in energy, utilities, and mining address strategic challenges amid the energy transition. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative operating models, asset strategies, and decarbonisation plans. You will support business development, contribute to large-scale transformations, and apply data and AI to improve decision-making. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology, global clients, and a clear path to growth and impact.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of consulting engagements addressing client challenges
- Solve complex, ambiguous business and technology problems with structured analysis under guidance
- Contribute to business development and sales with leaders, clients, and consultants
- Collaborate with managers and senior managers to develop the Resources Strategy team
- Design and implement energy transition strategies to reach net-zero targets
- Develop asset strategies to maximise value and reduce emissions
- Define and design new operating models for efficiency and nimbleness
- Drive cost and productivity improvements in the field
- Deliver data and AI to enable faster, better decision-making
- Support large-scale transformation programmes and integration of Accenture offerings
Key requirements
- Consulting or relevant industry experience in the Resources sector (Oil & Gas, Utilities, Mining, Renewables)
- Strong knowledge of industry trends, challenges, competitive landscapes, and emerging business models
- Ability to support business development activities including client research, proposal writing, and client discussions/presentations
- Experience with transformation projects including operational restructuring, organizational change, and technology-driven transformations
- Comfort at the intersection of business and technology; understanding of AI and digital solutions delivering strategic value
