Within our Software & Platforms Industry & Enterprise team, we work with software and SaaS businesses from high-growth scale-ups to established global vendors, helping them navigate the strategic and operational challenges that define success in a rapidly evolving industry. Our clients are software businesses facing consequential challenges: AI-native competitors rewriting competitive dynamics, commercial models shifting from subscription to consumption and outcome-based pricing, hyperscalers reshaping distribution, and B2B buyers demanding measurable workflow outcomes rather than product features. We help them respond to this through GTM redesign, lead-to-cash transformation, commercial model evolution, and large-scale B2B operational change.
Much of our work centres on B2B growth, product reinvention, customer lifecycle transformation, and revenue operations, helping software businesses build the strategies, processes, and operating models they need to grow efficiently and compete in an AI-driven market.
As a Manager in our Software & Platforms Industry & Enterprise team, you'll lead diverse, high-performing teams to shape and deliver strategies that unlock growth, improve performance, and enable transformation at scale. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, support your team's development, and bring creativity and structure to every engagement. You'll also contribute to our go-to-market strategy and help evolve our internal practice, building your leadership experience and impact along the way.
In this role you will:
- Lead complex B2B transformation programmes for software and SaaS clients, taking ownership of workstreams that span GTM strategy, commercial and business model transformation, lead-to-cash process redesign, and operational change.
- Define and structure solutions in ambiguous environments, bringing clarity to complex problems through rigorous analysis, process design, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Build and own the commercial narrative, developing business cases, value models, and investment cases that can stand up to C-level scrutiny.
- Work directly with senior client stakeholders to co-create strategy, align on priorities, and drive cross-functional change programmes forward.
- Translate industry insight into practical advantage, helping clients understand how shifts in AI, pricing models, and competitive dynamics should shape their strategy and operating model.
- Drive business development activity, shaping proposals, contributing to go-to-market initiatives, and building relationships that generate new client opportunities.
- Lead and develop your team, setting direction, coaching others, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture.
- Contribute to the growth of the Software & Platforms Industry & Enterprise practice through thought leadership, asset development, and internal capability building.
Job Qualifications
Please note candidates with backgrounds primarily in technical delivery, software engineering, or IT implementation, or those without meaningful software industry exposure, are unlikely to be the right fit. We are looking for candidates who bring deep expertise in the Software and SaaS industry, either through a career at a top tier management consulting firm with a focus on Software & Platforms clients, or through direct experience in strategy, transformation, or commercial roles within software companies.
Candidates will have a strong understanding of how SMB, mid-market, and enterprise customers buy, adopt, and expand software products, alongside a clear point of view on how the industry is evolving. You will be comfortable working with ambiguity and have a track record of driving measurable client or business impact.
You should demonstrate strength across the following areas:
- B2B Transformation & Delivery Leadership: Proven experience leading complex programmes across the B2B customer lifecycle, from lead generation and sales through to onboarding, adoption, and renewal, with clear evidence of revenue growth, cost reduction, or efficiency improvement delivered. Experience designing future-state processes, customer journeys, and transformation roadmaps, translating strategy into executable change. Evidence of assessing, designing, and deploying end-to-end product strategies that improve customer onboarding, adoption, retention, and growth, while boosting product investment returns and reducing costs. Skilled in value-led delivery: building business cases, tracking outcomes, and managing risk and governance throughout.
- Data-driven Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesise disparate data sources into clear, actionable insight. Able to construct board-ready business cases that link operational data to commercial outcomes and communicate them persuasively to C-level stakeholders. Experience driving data-driven approaches to product development, lead generation, monetisation, segmentation, and channel strategy to identify growth opportunities and inform investment decisions.
- GTM, Commercial Model & Ecosystem Design: Strong understanding of B2B GTM strategy within software or SaaS, including how SMB, mid-market, enterprise, and partner/channel motions require meaningfully different approaches. Clear perspective on how software pricing and commercial models are evolving, from per-seat and subscription toward usage-based, outcome-based, and consumption pricing, and the implications for GTM design and organisational structure. Experience supporting or leading commercial and business model transformation, including how software businesses restructure revenue models, reposition offerings, and realign sales and success motions accordingly. Understanding of how hyperscaler and cloud marketplace dynamics are reshaping B2B software distribution, co-sell motions, and competitive positioning, and experience working across partner and developer ecosystem reinvention.
- Industry Knowledge & AI Fluency: A strong point of view on the forces reshaping the software industry, including the pressures technology companies face to meet evolving customer needs, drive return on product investments, ensure products are secure and resilient, and adapt revenue models, all while navigating AI-native competitors, the shift from assistive to agentic AI, and hyperscaler dynamics. The ability to translate these macro trends into concrete strategic and commercial implications for clients, not just awareness but a credible perspective.
- Client Engagement & Influence: Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, drive alignment through structured thinking and compelling narrative, and deliver transformation across both waterfall and agile environments.
- Leadership and Growth: Experience managing and developing teams, with a commitment to coaching talent. Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable taking ownership, shaping outcomes, and driving momentum in ambiguous environments. Strong commercial instinct, with experience contributing to business development and shaping client growth conversations.
Set yourself apart: Top candidates will have:
- A career at a top tier management consulting firm with a sustained focus on Software & Platforms clients, or a track record in senior strategy, commercial, or transformation roles within a software or SaaS business.
- Specific, evidenced experience in B2B Software or SaaS transformation: lead-to-cash redesign, GTM strategy, commercial and business model evolution, or revenue operations, with clear outcomes you can point to.
- Experience working with SMB-focused software businesses, with a genuine understanding of how SMB buying behaviour, partner and channel dynamics, and digital-first motions differ structurally from enterprise.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end product strategy, including designing and deploying approaches that improve adoption, retention, and product investment returns.
- A credible, well-formed point of view on how agentic AI is reshaping software delivery, competitive dynamics, and the commercial expectations of B2B buyers.
- Understanding of partner and developer ecosystem reinvention, including how co-sell, marketplace, and ecosystem strategies are changing how software businesses grow and distribute.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Agile, Cloud, Architecture, Data) or demonstrable experience applying modern delivery practices in complex transformation environments.
