This is an exciting opportunity for individuals early in their Information Assurance career who want to strengthen governance, risk, and compliance capabilities and contribute to the development of new and improved cybersecurity services. As a Security Analyst, you will support the delivery of assurance activities, gain exposure to a range of projects, and develop your expertise across information security disciplines. You’ll work closely with experienced consultants and be encouraged to take on increasing responsibility as your skills grow.
In our team, you will learn how to:
- Apply assurance principles across different goals — including legislation, regulations, standards, and frameworks.
- Identify real-world security risks and support stakeholders in understanding and managing them effectively.
- Take a practical, hands-on approach to assurance and control evaluation.
- Build experience in operational assurance within a business context.
- Broaden your understanding of cybersecurity domains such as security management, architecture, engineering, and operations.
- Contribute to service delivery and project work, with opportunities to gain experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
We are looking for experience in the following areas:
- Awareness of major cloud technologies, with experience reviewing, assessing, or risk-managing at least one platform such as Azure or AWS.
- A solid foundational understanding of information risk, including how to identify, assess, prioritise, and communicate risks in a structured way.
- A collaborative approach, working effectively with technical and business teams to support assurance activities, supported by a working knowledge of key security standards and good-practice frameworks such as ISO 27001, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and relevant controls guidance (e.g., NIST SP 800-53).
- Understanding of how security management systems are designed and operated.
- Experience supporting threat and vulnerability management activities.
- Ability to review and assess security controls to understand their effectiveness in reducing risk.
