Role OverviewExperienced Senior Java Engineer / Lead with hands on experience of working within payments domain and within ICON Payments Framework (IPF) to support the delivery of large‐scale payment systems. This role involves hands‐on development within modern, cloud‐based architectures and close collaboration with major banking clients. Skills & ExperienceMinimum 2 years' hands on experience implementing ICON IPF or similar payments framework within banking environmentLead the design, development, and implementation of microservices-based applications using Java (v17 onwards) , Spring Boot, and related frameworks. Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in architecture, coding standards, performance, security, and maintainability. Strong experience working in AWS cloud environmentsSolid experience with Apache Kafka and asynchronous messaging5-10 Years as a Java engineerSome hands on experience of operating within payment solution within banking environmentsStrong understanding of JMS, JSON, XML, Spring JPA, transaction management (JTA) and RESTful APIs. Proficiency in working with Oracle and MongoDB.Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), with the ability to promote quality engineering practices across the development lifecycle.
