About the job: Generative and agentic AI presents a huge opportunity for our clients to reinvent sales and service. This is a high growth area for the Accenture Microsoft Business Group (AMBG), triggered by Microsoft's significant investments in AI via Copilot and agents, and the continued expansion of the Dynamics 365 platform. As a result, we have created a new Senior Manager Technical Architect role to help our clients discover and assess the potential of the Microsoft Customer Engagement solutions, and to develop the architecture and roadmap required to deliver the platform across their organisation.
Summary: You will take charge of leading our most critical and complex projects and programmes, with full accountability of delivery. You will be responsible for nurturing and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure delivery excellence and client satisfaction are achieved. Adhering to schedule, budget and quality benchmarks are expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have delivery accountability of contracted solutions at the programme or project level, ensuring adherence to deal economics, schedule, and quality standards.
- Effectively manage overall project/programme risks, making critical adjustments as necessary and gaining buy-in from senior management for key project plans.
- Oversee and drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive project work plans.
- Accountability of the traceability of project requirements throughout the project life cycle.
- Provide strategic direction for all change management activities and support clients in their change enablement processes.
- Seek out growth opportunities for the account, the client, the team and our people.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing oversight to the management of relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Demonstrate your client communication skills at all levels, including executive level, with consideration for different cultures and first languages.
- Be the escalation point for delivery issues taking a hands-on approach where necessary to course correct troublesome projects.
- Ensure consistent programme governance is in place, attend and contribute in steering meetings and project progress updates.
- Review the solution to confirm it can be delivered within the budget available.
- Draft or review contracts ensuring scope, dependencies and risks can be managed.
- Ensure deliverables and work products are achievable.
- Review staffing proposals to ensure they have the right skills and capability.
Skills and experiences:
- Specific experience implementing Dynamics 365 CE or ERP for Enterprise level clients.
- Extensive understanding of contract terms and interpretation, coupled with excellent customer expectations management skills.
- Proven experience employing key Project/Program Management disciplines, ensuring effective estimation, work planning, and scope management.
- Proficiency in project management methods, tools, and techniques, complemented by a working knowledge of Microsoft platform technologies and in-depth expertise in Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps (ADO), enabling precise project tracking and control.
- Good knowledge of Earned Value reporting, contributing to sound financial decision-making.
- Strong people management abilities, including team leadership and mentorship.
- While not required, having a Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP or PgM certification and a Bachelor's degree in a business or technology-related field will be advantageous.
What will set you apart: Ideal candidates who have very strong project management experience in an IT and consulting environment, particularly for global external clients. Additionally, they should possess strong direct people management experience for on and offshore resources, enabling them to lead and mentor effectively.
