Overview
As AI-led Senior Maximo Developer, you secure the stability and evolution of live Maximo/MAS environments while enabling AI-driven improvements. You act as a technical authority, triaging complex defects and guiding releases through test to production, in close collaboration with delivery teams. You will apply AI and automation to accelerate diagnosis, testing, and validation, building reusable accelerators and intelligent assets. This role focuses on predictive, data-driven asset management and continuous service improvement. You’ll work in a client-facing capacity to expand AI-enabled Maximo capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Escalate and triage Maximo/MAS incidents, resolving complex defects within client SLAs
- Diagnose issues across front-end, configuration, integrations, and data
- Leverage AI-assisted analysis for incident triage and pattern recognition
- Lead root cause analysis and convert trends into permanent fixes
- Provide front-end support to end users and super-users
- Deliver configuration changes in Application Designer, workflow, escalations, security groups
- Develop automation scripts (Python/Jython, JavaScript) including AI-enabled patterns
- Maintain and enhance BIRT reports and KPIs
- Promote changes through development, test, UAT to production with safe packaging
- Plan deployment windows and maintain environment integrity
- Monitor platform health and drive continuous improvement, including AI-enabled automation
- Define and maintain reusable AI-enabled support assets and runbooks
- Mentor junior staff and support bids/demos as SME
- Support migration projects and contribute to Maximo capability growth
- Contribute to responsible AI governance in regulated environments
Key requirements
- 6 years+ hands-on IBM Maximo experience in senior/lead capacity
- Strong Maximo configuration skills (Application Designer, workflow, escalations, security groups)
- Proven defect triage and root cause analysis for live systems
- Release and environment management using DBC scripting and Migration Manager
- Experience with ITIL-aligned incident/problem/change/release management
- Automation scripting (Python/Jython, JavaScript) and strong SQL
- MIF knowledge and REST/SOAP interfaces for monitoring/troubleshooting
- Functional grounding in Work Management, Asset Lifecycle, Inventory, Procurement, PM/Job Plans, Service Management
- Ability to translate business problems into Maximo solutions (standard or custom)
- Experience creating reusable delivery accelerators or AI-enabled assets
- Capability to identify AI value opportunities and articulate them to stakeholders
- Experience with MAS MAS 8/9 end-to-end migrations (preferred)
- Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes and containerised deployments (preferred)
- ServiceNow or similar ITSM tooling (preferred)
- IBM Maximo Manage v9.0/v8.0 certification or MAS Foundation (preferred)
- Experience in asset-intensive regulated industries
