Client‑facing role that may involve travel within the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of focused project teams across a range of Life Sciences R&D topics, including research, clinical development, regulatory, pharmacovigilance and adjacent biotech/medtech domains.
  • Independently lead workstreams to assess client R&D strategies, operating models, processes and technology landscape as part of broader transformation programmes.
  • Gather, synthesise and analyse data from a variety of sources to draw insights and develop strategic recommendations across R&D productivity, pipeline/portfolio prioritisation, clinical trial innovation, regulatory and safety transformation, and digital/AI‑enabled change.
  • Structure and communicate outcomes to client management teams, helping senior stakeholders make informed, evidence‑based decisions.
  • Work alongside client teams to help implement recommendations and deliver measurable value, helping get the right therapies to patients faster.
  • Gain exposure to strategic challenges and opportunities in Life Sciences.
  • Engage with cutting‑edge research and thought leadership that defines the future of the industry.
  • Utilise structured problem‑solving techniques to enable client transformation.
  • Collaborate with a global network of highly skilled, geographically and culturally diverse people.

Qualifications:

  • 2‑5+ years of relevant experience focusing on R&D in the Life Sciences industry, including strategy/management consulting or experience within biopharma or biotech R&D organisations.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record; an advanced degree is a plus but not essential.
  • Strong functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: R&D strategy and operating model; research and clinical development; pipeline/portfolio/asset strategy; regulatory, safety or pharmacovigilance; digital transformation and innovation; data, analytics and AI in R&D; patient, site and investigator experience.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Interest in technology, data and the future of Life Sciences R&D.
