The Opportunity

The GIS Solution Architect & Delivery Lead is responsible for shaping, selling, architecting, and delivering GIS and geospatial transformation programmes for asset-intensive clients across Utilities, Energy, Mining, Infrastructure, and Manufacturing sectors.

The role combines strategic advisory, solution architecture, programme delivery, and business development responsibilities to help clients improve asset visibility, operational performance, field workforce effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and capital investment decision-making through geospatial technologies.

In this role you will

  • Client Advisory & Architecture
  • Define GIS strategies and transformation roadmaps.
  • Design enterprise GIS architectures integrating GIS, EAM, OT, Digital Twins, Data, and Cloud platforms.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, Asset, Operations, and Engineering leaders.
  • Delivery Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end GIS transformation programmes from strategy through implementation and operational transition.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams across GIS, data, integration, OT, cloud, and asset management domains.
  • Drive programme governance, quality, risk, budget, and stakeholder management.
  • Commercial Growth
  • Support opportunity origination, solutioning, and proposal development.
  • Contribute to pipeline growth, revenue targets, and account expansion.
  • Develop business cases and value-led propositions aligned to client priorities.
  • Capability Development
  • Build Accenture GIS offerings, methodologies, and accelerators.
  • Coach and develop GIS practitioners and architects.
  • Strengthen relationships with strategic partners including Esri, Microsoft, SAP, IBM, Bentley, and Hexagon.
