Role Overview
Responsible for defining and shaping requirements for B2B telecommunications solutions delivered on modern, configurable digital platforms. The role focuses on translating enterprise and wholesale telco business needs into clear, structured requirements that inform solution design across product, service, and operational domains, without prescribing detailed technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition of requirements for B2B telco solutions, including enterprise connectivity, managed services, ICT, cloud‑enabled services, and industry‑specific offerings.
- Translate customer and internal stakeholder needs into functional, non‑functional, and operational requirements across the solution lifecycle (order, fulfilment, assurance, charging, and support).
- Ensure requirements reflect B2B telco constructs such as product structures, service models, SLAs, and customer‑specific variations.
- Define requirements with an understanding of modern digital and platform‑based solution approaches, including configurable products and reusable capabilities.
- Shape requirements that are nuanced to bespoke developed applications, integrated with typical CRM and Billing systems.
- Ensure requirements are adaptable and suitable for evolving platforms, vendor solutions, and operating models.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and delivery teams to clarify scope, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Facilitate requirement workshops and discussions, ensuring shared understanding and reducing ambiguity.
- Maintain traceability between business objectives, solution capabilities, and delivery scope.
- Apply TM Forum frameworks and models (eTOM, SID, TAM, ODA principles) to structure requirements and promote a common telco language.
- Use TMF concepts to support consistency, interoperability, and alignment to industry best practice.
- Ensure requirements artefacts are clear, complete, and suitable for downstream design and build activities.
- Support governance and review forums by articulating impacts and trade‑offs across business, operational, and delivery dimensions.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in B2B telecommunications, ideally within enterprise or wholesale environments.
- Understanding of telco products, services, and operational processes across fulfilment, assurance, and lifecycle management.
- Experience working in customer‑specific and multi‑variant solution contexts.
- Strong experience in requirements definition for technology‑enabled initiatives.
- Comfortable working with evolving problem statements and refining requirements iteratively.
- Ability to define requirements at a capability and outcome level rather than at detailed technical design level.
- Proven ability to work across business, product, architecture, and delivery teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly in structured requirements documentation.
Desirable Experience / Certifications
- TM Forum certification (eTOM, SID, ODA or related).
- Experience in OSS/BSS environments or telco platform modernisation initiatives.
- Exposure to enterprise digital platforms or product‑centric operating models.
