Location: Newcastle – Hybrid Working: 3 days per week in our Newcastle, Cobalt Business Park office.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate for and employ good development practices such as a consistent branching strategy, coding standards, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Testing.
- Support the technical leads in designing the separation of functionality into microservices and the end-to-end integration and flow between technical components.
- Support the test automation engineers in testing stories and features delivered both from functional and non-functional perspectives.
- Participate in Scrum activities including sprint backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
- Assist the team in delivering features by expanding capabilities into other areas of development and testing.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Java 8 to 17.
- Proven background in Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC.
- Experience with JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience in Java Development.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior developers.
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
