Accenture Palantir Business Group (APBG) is a deep data and AI group founded on an innate desire to create real‑world change. We are consulting engineers with a purpose, offering a ‘boots on the ground’ approach to complex public and private sector challenges. As a trusted Palantir partner we help our clients to extract the most value from their technology. We are working at the cutting edge of Palantir technology and harnessing its capabilities with purpose. Our teams are united in their mission to be drivers of positive change in the world’s most influential organisations. This includes strengthening our advantage in the defence, infrastructure and public safety – empowering more public and private institutions to unlock their full potential.
The Role
As a Managing Engineer – Forward Deployed, you will operate with high individual, team and client ownership. You will be accountable for the day‑to‑day management of your project client relationship. Leading a team of engineers, you will design solutions that unify complex data landscapes, build workflows that drive smarter decisions, and partner with organisations to deliver sustainable transformation. Working directly with your clients, you will be the face of AOBG, requiring a unique blend of technical mastery and high emotional intelligence (EQ) to navigate complex environments. You and your team will have creative freedom to architect solutions, working iteratively to build fast, demonstrate your work to clients and refine it based on real‑time feedback.
What You’ll Do
- End‑to‑End Delivery: Take significant ownership of client problems, handling everything from deep data engineering needing low/no code Palantir Foundry tooling, or Python and PySpark ark code repos – to building user‑facing front‑end applications and widgets in TypeScript or REACT.
- Client Advisory & Translation: Sit directly alongside clients, distinguish their goals and requirements and translate complex technical language into stakeholder‑appropriate communication.
- AI Integration: Actively embed AI workflows into existing applications using cutting‑edge tools like AIP Logic Functions, AIP Analysts, and AIFDE.
- APBG/Decho Labs Innovation: Contribute to build tangible internal products. Feed your deployment learnings back into the company so our teams learn from your success and we create compounding assets of value for internal and for our clients.
- Innate Collaboration: Drive team day‑to‑day self‑assignment of taskings. Actively drive participation across all levels, in our "show and tell" culture through teachbacks and tech reviews and uplift your team and peers through our highly active internal support channels.
What We Are Looking For
- Problem Solvers: We highly value individuals who can navigate nuanced client environments. We care more about your ability to decompose complex use cases and architect solutions than rote memorising of coding syntax. Fluency in core languages (Python, SQL, TypeScript and/or REACT) and the capability to pick up others quickly. You should understand data engineering principles, ETL pipelines, and application development. Familiarity with Palantir (Foundry, Gotham, or similar) is preferred but not mandatory provided you have a strong willingness to learn.
- High EQ & Curiosity: The emotional intelligence to manage client expectations, a proactive self‑starting nature and the humility to know you don’t know everything and search for and accept help.
- Impact‑Driven Communication: The ability to present impressive demos, simplify complexity for non‑technical users and focus on delivering genuine client impact as an individual and across your project team.
Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver this role as there will be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery of the first‑class services we are known for.
Accenture reserves the right to close the role prior to this date should a suitable applicant be found.
