As a CIAM Consultant, you will design and implement secure and seamless Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) solutions, translate business and customer experience needs into scalable technical designs, collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver impactful digital identity solutions, advise clients on CIAM best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging identity trends, drive innovation by exploring modern authentication approaches, contribute to complex digital identity and IAM programmes, and support internal initiatives shaping CIAM offerings and go‑to‑market strategies across the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients to design and implement secure, seamless CIAM solutions
  • Translate business and customer experience needs into scalable technical designs supporting millions of users
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams — including engineers, architects, and business stakeholders — to deliver impactful digital identity solutions
  • Advise clients on CIAM best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging identity trends
  • Drive innovation by exploring modern authentication approaches (e.g., biometrics, passwordless, AI‑driven fraud detection) to enhance user trust and security
  • Contribute to complex digital identity and IAM programmes, working across global teams and diverse industry sectors
  • Support internal initiatives, shaping CIAM offerings, innovation, and go‑to‑market strategies across the practice

Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts, including authentication, authorisation, federation, and decentralised identity
  • Hands‑on experience with CIAM platforms (e.g., Okta, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, Transmit, Azure AD B2C or similar)
  • Proven experience delivering technology solutions in consulting or client‑facing environments
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business‑friendly language
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, UK Data Protection Act) and their impact on customer identity solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to assess challenges and propose effective solutions
  • Well‑organised with the ability to manage and support delivery across multiple or complex workstreams

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with modern identity and security approaches (e.g., Zero Trust, adaptive authentication, API security)
  • Familiarity with frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT)
  • Experience integrating CIAM platforms into wider enterprise environments
