About the Team: Accenture S&PE Engineering is over 1,000 people strong and provides end‑to‑end product engineering solutions that deliver tangible value quickly. We work with clients in a variety of sectors, from scale‑ups to national and international blue‑chip names and public sector organisations.
Responsibilities: We typically work hand‑in‑hand with our clients to build great digital products for them and their customers. To do this, we need experienced, capable engineers who can deploy their own mastery to get things done hands‑on and successfully lead others in doing so. The nature of our work varies from client to client, providing opportunities to experience new domains and new stacks. Our team is dedicated to applying great engineering to achieve great outcomes. Engineers stand out by keeping one eye on value at all times, proposing thoughtful solutions that get the job done efficiently and with low complexity, and advocating this approach within the team. Beyond client work, engineers contribute to our internal and regional engineering communities. There is scope to get involved and shape conversations around tech interests, share knowledge, and learn from colleagues in diverse problem spaces.
AI‑Assisted Engineering: Engineers are expected to responsibly adopt AI‑assisted engineering practices—such as GitHub Copilot, GitLab Duo, and similar tools—for code generation, testing, documentation, and analysis. They must understand model limitations, protect client data, and improve delivery quality and speed through pragmatic automation.
SRE & Observability: Engineers bring a reliability mindset to delivery, designing services that are operable by default and measured through meaningful SLIs/SLOs. They help teams implement pragmatic observability—logging, metrics, and distributed tracing—with actionable alerting, and contribute to (or lead) incident response and post‑incident reviews that drive learning and measurable improvements.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with the AWS cloud platform and core services.
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (build, deployment and operational support in production).
- Proven use of Infrastructure as Code, ideally with AWS CDK.
- Working knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) within Agile/DevOps teams.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation and DevOps best practices.
Benefits: In addition to a competitive basic salary, Accenture offers an extensive benefits package that includes 25 days’ vacation per year, private medical insurance, and 3 extra days leave per year for charitable work of your choice. Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver this role, as on‑site time with clients and partners will be necessary.
