Lead Software Engineer
Locations: Glasgow or Edinburgh (must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis).
Salary: Competitive salary and package (Depending on level of experience).

Responsibilities
In our team you will:
- Build and lead delivery of end-to-end digital products for clients across a variety of domains and technology stacks.
- Deploy and own features from design, implementation, deployment to production support.
- Maintain high quality, accessibility, security, performance, and caching across the full stack.
- Act as a technical advocate, proposing thoughtful solutions that achieve maximum value with low complexity.
- Contribute to internal and regional engineering communities, share knowledge, and shape conversations around technology.
- Coach, mentor and give structured feedback to other engineers, growing their careers.
Qualifications
- Several years of industry experience as a Java‑focused full‑stack engineer, with strong front‑end experience using modern frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
- Proven experience building end‑to‑end solutions, owning features from design and implementation through to deployment and production support.
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and cloud‑native architectures, including the ability to deploy, operate and support your own code in live AWS environments.
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code within AWS (e.g. Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi).
- Experience designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD), with a focus on automation, reliability and quality.
- Strong engineering standards across accessibility, security, performance and caching, applied consistently throughout the full stack.
- Proven team leadership experience, including leading engineers day‑to‑day, setting technical direction, and growing careers through coaching, mentoring and structured feedback.
