The predicted salary is between 60000 - 70000 £ per year.

Manages and controls the costs of capital projects, ensuring they stay within the allocated budget and achieve maximum economic efficiency. Implements tools and methodologies for detailed expense tracking, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions. Optimises the profitability of investments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the necessary Cost Management / commercial support on a range of mission critical projects and programmes of work.
  • Establish and grow a central cost function along with experience in estimating, cost and budget management, benchmarking and work breakdown structures.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen with well‑developed interpersonal, problem‑solving, communication skills.
  • Work within a small commercial team with direct interface with Clients to establish and grow the central cost functions, promoting best practice and providing absolute cost certainty on their portfolio.
  • Deliver strategies and processes, providing robust commercial management which will support the portfolio goals and objectives.
  • Support the delivery of departmental KPIs and objectives such as savings in total cost of ownership, value engineering and continuous improvement.
  • Work to tight deadlines, under pressure whilst still delivering quality output and prioritising requirements where necessary.
  • Communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and hold the ability to influence and negotiate with users outside your own sphere of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Experience in mission critical or data centre environments.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, Word & PowerPoint) to an appropriate level.
  • Experience with managing and presenting large data sets would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management.
  • Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.
  • Professional qualifications – MRICS/MCIOB desirable.
  • Organised and detail-oriented.
