Key Responsibilities

  • Discovery & Assessment
    • Map personal data flows and processing activities across applications, cloud platforms, M365, and AI/ML workflows using tools such as OneTrust and Securiti.ai to identify collection points, storage locations, data sharing, third‑party recipients, and cross‑border transfers.
    • Assess privacy risks and compliance gaps by reviewing current controls, conducting DPIAs/AI DPIAs, evaluating retention practices, identifying high‑risk processing, and analysing alignment with GDPR/UK GDPR, DPA 2018, and internal policy requirements.
    • Identify privacy control gaps and improvement opportunities across consent mechanisms, data minimisation, purpose limitation, subject rights processes, and technical enforcement via Purview classification, labelling, DLP, and DSPM discovery outputs.
  • Architecture & Design
    • Embed privacy‑by‑design into data and AI workflows — map personal data flows, identify high‑risk processing, and ensure Purview/Securiti.ai controls enforce minimisation, purpose limitation, and lawful processing.

    • Map controls to regulatory and privacy requirements.
    • Operationalise global privacy requirements — align controls with GDPR, UK GDPR, DPA, and emerging AI/ML regulations; translate legal requirements into technical enforcement and monitoring across data platforms and AI pipelines.
    • Drive privacy risk mitigation and governance — perform DPIAs/AI DPIAs, support privacy control testing, implement consent/retention policies, and integrate privacy signals into DSPM and AI governance dashboards.
