Accenture UK & Ireland is looking for a Management Consulting Manager – Utilities. The role is based in London and is for a manager‑level position. The team is dedicated to driving the net‑zero agenda across a wide portfolio of clients, helping them expedite the energy transition while ensuring a stable, affordable energy supply.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside our clients, understanding their challenges and bringing your utilities expertise to guide them through to success.
  • Use your structured and innovative problem‑solving skills to find the right solution for our clients.
  • Have a deep analytical capability to deliver data‑driven consulting.
  • Recommend and use the best innovative technologies to answer our Clients’ questions.
  • Draw insights through your well‑developed quantitative skills (e.g., financial analysis, market data analysis, etc.).
  • Project‑manage using delivery methods such Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking to drive success.
  • Leverage your relationship and stakeholder‑management skills.

Qualifications

  • Significant years of experience in the utilities industry.
  • Technical expertise and understanding of low‑carbon asset development and asset operations, including best practice processes/activities/ways of working content.
  • Experience working with technical & engineering stakeholders to drive operational excellence within the low‑carbon power sector, including process optimisation.
  • Experience designing new business models or transforming existing ones, including organisational development, capability mapping and operating model change.
  • Expert knowledge in specific elements of the energy system (e.g., gas‑to‑hydrogen, balancing markets/ancillary services, etc.).
  • Understanding of the UK regulatory environment; experience analysing market changes and providing insights on the change.
  • Leadership experience managing teams both from a project delivery and personal development perspective.
  • Project management delivering high‑complexity projects on time and to client satisfaction.
  • Strong consulting experience with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
