Responsibilities
- Client servicing/management: Establish and capitalize on multi-level client relationships across each business. Manage client expectations and push back when required, acting as a consultant. Grow each account year on year through proactive selling of value-add services, group products and services. Effectively manage a portfolio in line with company budgetary targets. Maintain a clear strategy to grow the portfolio against agreed targets, reporting to the Executive PR Director. Deliver strong written work, including proposals that meet high quality standards and achieve results.
- Strategic comms & council: Strategically assess the client’s communication challenges, articulating the strategy succinctly and delivering ongoing strategic counsel. Provide brand and PR consultancy, highlighting multi-channel opportunities when appropriate. Consider audience and channel in all proposals, thinking broadly about digital, social and content-led strategies and drawing on wider skill-sets from across the agency. Display the appropriate level of knowledge, skills and confidence to direct and manage all aspects of the communications programme. Work with and provide support and coaching to the team on strategic communications. Have a clear and strong understanding of the PR and social landscape, offering strategic counsel to both existing and prospective clients.
- Commercial/financial management: Develop accurate budgets for all client activity, ensuring group services are described and costed appropriately. Create accurate resource plans. Manage client servicing levels within pre-agreed levels, ensuring all activity falls within the client contract. Share all financial updates, including organic target updates, with the Executive leads and finance team. Assign relevant fees to the appropriate rollers (e.g., TWW, Design). Monitor financial data, ensuring organic growth targets are always up to date. Deliver specialist agency products and services (media training, message development, digital strategy, trends workshops) to increase high-value revenue potential.
- New business: Co-own and manage the new business process, from qualification to pitch, with support from the Executive Director where required. Work effectively with the central new business team and maximize all potential leads. Generate new business opportunities through personal leads, contacts and connections. Proactively identify new revenue streams through value-add services for both existing clients and new business. Generate organic growth through the wider TMW and Accenture business by building key connections.
- Leadership: Be approachable to all team members, encouraging involvement and listening to others’ points of view. Provide coaching and informal training to increase team capability, motivation and value to the business. Proactively manage performance to guide and direct the team, addressing any issues. Work effectively with the leadership team and HR to consider team shape, needs and challenges.
