The Opportunity: To lead the functional design, configuration, and technical delivery of IBM Maximo / Maximo Application Suite (MAS) implementations, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable, secure, and fit-for-purpose solutions aligned to enterprise processes, data, and architecture standards.

The role acts as the primary bridge between Solution Architecture and technical delivery, combining deep functional expertise with strong technical awareness to ensure that solutions meet both business outcomes and engineering constraints while minimising customisation and technical debt.

In this role you will:

  • Functional Design and Configuration
    • Translate solution architecture and requirements into detailed functional designs
    • Lead fit-gap analysis and configure Maximo modules aligned to best practice
    • Define asset structures, workflows, job plans, and maintenance strategies
  • Delivery Execution, Stakeholder Interface, Quality & Governance
    • Own functional delivery across design, build, test, and deployment
    • Lead and coordinate functional consultants and configuration teams
    • Support testing (SIT/UAT), defect resolution, and solution validation
    • Facilitate workshops to validate requirements and designs
    • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and delivery teams
    • Support adoption through clear articulation of system and process changes
    • Ensure adherence to design standards, governance, and documentation
    • Maintain requirements traceability and configuration integrity
  • Technical & Integration Alignment
    • Work with Technical and Solution Architects to ensure design feasibility
    • Define and support integrations with ERP, PLM, and enterprise systems
    • Contribute to data migration, mapping, and alignment to target data models
    • Support delivery of solutions that meet non-functional requirements
  • Process and Data Implementation
    • Implement and standardise target business processes and ways of working
    • Define data structures and ensure alignment to enterprise data models
    • Ensure consistent configuration across workstreams

  • Experience leading teams to deliver IBM Maximo / MAS implementations in a functional/techno-functional role.
  • Strong understanding of EAM processes (asset, work, maintenance, inventory)
  • Hands-on Maximo configuration experience
  • Experience in fit-gap, functional design, and delivery execution
  • Understanding of integration concepts and data models
  • Data migration and data quality considerations
  • Ability to operate between Solution Architecture and delivery teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation capability
