Accenture is partnering with scaled UK AI compute pioneers to lead the charge on nextâgeneration infrastructure for sovereign AI. We are building a highâperformance compute operations team in London. Our work is sensitive, secure, 24x7, and on the most upâtoâdate highâdensity compute stacks available. Shift teams are set up to operate 24x7 and successful candidates working on shift will receive a shift premium for the nonâstandard, unsociable shift hours that will be part of the rota.
Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC security clearance, which requires 5 years of continuous UK address history (typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK) at the point of application.
Key Responsibilities- Manage network and firewall security.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity incidents (routing, switching, and security).
- Build, configure, and maintain network infrastructures following best practices.
- Identify service improvements to reduce risk and improve stability.
- Produce highâquality implementation scripts, test plans, and change controls for all network changes.
- Respond to realâtime alerts and dashboards for networking resources to detect serviceâimpacting events.
- Perform initial triage and isolation for incidents following established runbooks and procedures.
- Document incidents, actions, and outcomes accurately in the incidentâmanagement system.
- Support service delivery and SLA compliance.
- Investigate and resolve incidents escalated from L1.5 Engineers, conducting inâdepth analysis of compute, storage, and network issues.
- Develop and refine troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and knowledgeâbase articles.
- Coordinate with engineering, automation, and vendor teams for persistent or complex technical problems.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics and incident trends, recommending proactive measures for reliability improvements.
- Mentor L1.5 Engineers to support skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in onâcall schedules as required.
- Working knowledge of network security, including firewall configuration and security policy management.
- Understanding of networking protocols, including EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and IP multicast.
- Experience managing LAN/WAN environments and device protocols such as Juniper, Arista, or Fortinet.
- Administration of firewall systems such as FortiGate, Palo Alto, Juniper, and Checkpoint.
- VPN and remoteâaccess solutions.
- Associateâlevel network certification (CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent).
- Experience implementing and supporting large corporate or dataâcentre networks, preferably in a multiâclient, serviceâprovider environment.
- Experience in incident management, advanced troubleshooting, and operational best practices.
- Advanced network troubleshooting skills.
- 2+ years of routing protocol experience (OSPF, BGP).
- Programming/scripting for automation (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with ITSM, Agile methodologies, and tools such as ServiceNow, Jira.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (relevant experience considered).
