We are expanding the STS Business Analysis team to shape new ambitious and business critical products and experiences for users of both public and private sector clients. Requirements
- You will play an important role in bridging the gap between all business stakeholders, both internal and external, including Sales, Project Management, Technical Architecture, Development, QA Testing, and service support colleagues.
- You will take ownership to understand the change needs of our clients, investigate business problems and opportunities, and facilitate the delivery of appropriate changes through the application of business analysis techniques and documentation.
- A discovery leader and comfortable with planning, conducting, analysing and communicating findings that ground design decisions against user needs.
- Experienced with defining business processes that take advantage of contemporary AI capabilities.
- Keen to be up‑to‑date with AI advancements and is passionate to steer clients to take advantage of AI, and how AI can bring efficiencies to your ways of working.

- Elaborate epics and user stories from high level concepts to “playable” units of work for the Developers.
- Work closely with the Design and Research team, notably User Researchers and Service Designers, and integrate and enable user research as part of elaboration and continuous improvement.
- Can articulate the definition of ready/done, user story kick‑off and sign‑off.
- Work with other Business Analysts, Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Technical Leads and QA and external stakeholders on site.
- Be recognised as a subject matter expert and "go‑to" person, actively sharing knowledge and best practice.
- Offer expert advice, guidance, and recommendations, drawing on specialist knowledge and experience.
- An advocate for best practice and promote business analysis across Secure Transformation Services.
Experience
- Acted as a leader within the business analysis community.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior business analysts.
- Experience of leading projects.
- Experience building and developing business analysis capability and community of practice.
- Knowledge and application of the Requirements Engineering Process and experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience of applying a variety of BA techniques appropriate to the business situation such as Business Process Modelling (using BPMN), Context Diagrams, Use Cases, SWOT analysis, MOST analysis and Business Activity Models to support the investigation and analysis of business situations.
- Experience of working in an agile context.
- Experience working in fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Experience in a range of prioritisation techniques (RoM, t‑shirt sizing, MoSCoW etc).
- Understanding of user‑centric design experience with non‑functional aspects such as security, privacy, accessibility, performance and reliability.
