At Secure Transformation Services (STS), we design new services that make a lasting impact by improving users' lives, making our country safer and enabling business to evolve. We are expanding the team to deliver new digital products and experiences for users of both public and private sector clients. The STS Digital Consulting practice comprises Business Analysis, Enterprise Service Design and 5 design disciplines: User Research, Service Design, Interaction Design, Design Systems and Design Thinking.

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to become part of our team supporting both existing and new client engagements.

Responsibilities:
  • Performing discoveries and are comfortable with planning, conducting, analysing and communicating findings that ground design decisions against user needs.
  • An intellectually curious, creative problem solver and passionate about solving business problems by creating inclusive, accessible services for a diverse user population.
  • Collaborative and supportive, and you enjoy working in a dynamic and creative environment. You are comfortable working with the different technical experts being part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Keen to be up-to-date with AI advancements and are passionate to steer clients to take advantage of AI, and how AI can bring efficiencies to your ways of working.
  • Co-creator with stakeholders and users. You relish participation of stakeholders and the wider team and have experience leading workshops and broader inclusive design initiatives.
  • A great communicator with stakeholders, able to speak fluently to businesspeople, designers, engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Elaborate epics and user stories from high level concepts to 'playable' units of work for the Developers.
  • Craft and translate business needs into traceable requirements and show evidence how the solutions meet the required needs with measurable value and business priority.
  • Comfortable working with the team reshaping user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with the Design and Research team, notably User Researchers and Service Designers, and integrate and enable user research as part of elaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Assist the Delivery Manager / Scrum Master with maintenance of physical and digital Agile boards.
  • Can articulate the definition of ready/done, user story kick-off and sign-off and requirements for UAT.
  • Work with other Business Analysts, Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Technical Leads and QA and external stakeholders on site.
  • An advocate for best practice and promote business analysis across Secure Transformation Services.
Experience:
  • Previous business analysis experience.
  • Knowledge and application of the Requirements Engineering Process and experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience of applying a variety of BA techniques appropriate to the business situation such as Business Process Modelling (using BPMN), Context Diagrams, Use Cases, SWOT analysis, MOST analysis and Business Activity Models to support the investigation and analysis of business situations.
  • Experience of working in an agile context.
  • Experience in a range of prioritisation techniques (RoM, t-shirt sizing, MoSCoW etc).
  • Understanding of user centric design experience with non-functional aspects such as security, privacy, accessibility, performance and reliability.
