Accenture Song accelerates growth and value for our clients through sustained customer relevance. Our capabilities span ideation to execution: growth, product and experience design; technology and experience platforms; creative, media and marketing strategy; and campaign, content and channel orchestration. With strong client relationships and deep industry expertise, we help our clients operate at the speed of life through the unlimited potential of imagination, technology and intelligence.
As an Agentic AI & Commerce Architect, you will lead the end-to-end technical design and delivery of production-grade agentic commerce systems for global enterprise clients. You are responsible for defining the overall system architecture, selecting and governing AI/ML and platform technologies, and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and embedded into live enterprise commerce environments. You will partner closely with development, DevOps, data engineering, and client teams to translate agentic commerce strategy into executable, production-ready architecture.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of two rapidly converging disciplines - enterprise commerce and agentic AI. The primary hiring dimension is agentic AI architecture at enterprise scale; commerce depth is strongly preferred, and candidates with strong AI credentials and adjacent platform experience will be considered.
The Work
- Architecture & Design
- Design and document multi-agent architecture blueprints, agentic orchestration patterns, knowledge and semantic layer blueprints, AI governance blueprints, and AgentOps/LLMOps architecture.
- Design the knowledge architecture underpinning agent intelligence: embeddings pipelines, vector retrieval, and semantic search - structured around commerce-specific intent, product relationships, and category hierarchies.
- Architect the integration layer connecting agentic systems to enterprise commerce stacks (OMS, PIM, DAM, CRM, payments, pricing, fulfilment) via API gateways, event buses, and emerging agentic protocols (MCP, A2A, ACP, UCP).
- Lead build vs. buy decisions across LLM platforms, orchestration frameworks, vector stores, and agentic workbenches; design multi-model routing strategies to avoid single-provider lock-in.
- Embed AI governance, observability, and guardrail design as first-class architectural concerns - audit logging, human-in-the-loop escalation, adversarial testing, and compliance controls - not retrofitted after deployment.
- Commerce Platform Leadership
- Lead large-scale agentic commerce implementations across Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, SAP Commerce, and composable/MACH stacks - embedding agentic AI into live production environments.
- Translate agentic commerce strategy into executable platform roadmaps grounded in the client's existing commerce stack and data estate.
- Lead architecture workshops with senior client stakeholders, presenting clear options with defined trade-offs, timelines, and business outcomes.
- Develop TCO models, effort estimates, and phased delivery roadmaps.
- Implementation & Delivery
- Provide architectural leadership across distributed, multidisciplinary delivery teams spanning AI, backend, data, cloud, and DevOps.
- Guide the path from prototype to production - defining the architectural runway that enables rapid, CI/CD-enabled scaling of agentic solutions.
- Define and oversee the AgentOps/LLMOps framework: establishing standards for production monitoring, tracing, model evaluation, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
- Define KPIs to measure agent performance, conversion uplift, operational efficiency, and ROI.
- Practice & Market Development
- Shape Accenture Song's Agentic Commerce architecture standards, reference architectures, and reusable accelerators.
- Create industry-specific POVs, demos, and proposal assets for commerce pursuits.
- Engage C-suite stakeholders and grow engineering talent within the practice.
What You Need
Must Have
- 8+ years in AI/ML systems, with demonstrable experience designing and delivering Generative AI and agentic AI systems in production.
- 4+ years enterprise commerce delivery on one or more of: Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, SAP Commerce, or composable/MACH stacks - or equivalent depth in adjacent enterprise platform delivery with a clear trajectory into commerce.
- Proven experience designing LLM-based systems: RAG, tool-calling, multi-agent orchestration, reasoning workflows.
- Experience with vector retrieval architectures and embedding pipelines in production (semantic search, RAG).
- Experience designing AI governance frameworks: auditability, HITL, red teaming, compliance controls.
- AgentOps/LLMOps: observability, tracing, and model evaluation in production.
- Commerce stack integration: OMS, PIM, DAM, CRM, payments, and fulfilment systems.
- Proficiency in Python, agent frameworks, vector databases, APIs/microservices, distributed systems.
- Cloud delivery on AWS, GCP, or Azure; CI/CD and cloud-native architecture.
- Demonstrated leadership of complex, multi-region enterprise programs.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agentic commerce protocols: MCP, A2A, ACP (OpenAI), UCP (Google).
- Hyperscaler agentic platforms: Google Vertex AI / Agent Dev Kit, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock Agents.
- GEO/AEO content architecture: structuring product data for LLM discoverability.
