Position Description: We are seeking a Google Cloud Engineering Team Lead to join the Accenture Google Business Group (AGBG) within Accenture Technology in the UK, specifically focused on our UK public sector clients. You'll be part of a team that engineers and implements the infrastructure, tools, access and telemetry for systems that enable orchestration of Google-scale services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of Google Cloud platform or data engineers to deliver Google Cloud solutions for our clients.
- Design, deploy, and operate secure Google Cloud solutions both on client sites and internal reference implementations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to your team, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Leverage your knowledge of Google Cloud architecture and engineering to input to technical blueprints and designs.
- Lead the design of a Google Cloud component within a larger project.
Required Skills:
- At least one Google Cloud Professional level certification.
- Expertise in multiple Google Cloud products and services (e.g. Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE, etc.) and broader IaaS solutions (e.g. Kubernetes, systems virtualisation, etc.).
- Hands-on experience implementing foundational cloud platforms (e.g. landing zones, IAM, VPC, networking) or data platforms (e.g. data pipelines, storage and database solutions).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both internal and client technical, non-technical and management stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), CI/CD pipelines and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl) to automate routine tasks.
- Hands-on experience creating technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications and operational runbooks.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and tools (e.g. Identity and Access Management, firewalls, encryption).
- Hands-on experience with networking across cloud and on-premise systems (e.g. TCP/IP, subnets, VPC, load balancing, DNS).
- Proven experience leading small technical teams to deliver outcome in a project setting, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Experience in site reliability engineering or IT production systems operations including experience troubleshooting and debugging live incidents.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with demonstrable examples of implementing technical innovation or ways of working improvements.
Minimum of 5 years uninterrupted residency in the UK and meet the eligibility criteria for UK SC.
