Role Overview: As an Enterprise Commerce Architect at the Senior Manager level, you will:
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale commerce solutions that deliver seamless, omnichannel customer experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, technology leads, and UX designers.
- Ensure integration of commerce architecture with existing systems to deliver measurable business value.
Responsibilities Include:
- Business Focus: Collaborate with executive leadership to align commerce strategy with revenue growth and market competitiveness.
- Strategic Commerce Architecture: Define and lead technical strategies for omnichannel commerce solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Client Engagement: Understand client requirements and translate them into robust technical designs covering product catalogues, checkout flows, payment integrations, and order management.
- Solution Design & Implementation: Architect and oversee headless storefronts, microservices, and API integrations for marketing, sales, and fulfillment.
- Integration & Collaboration: Partner with CMS, MarTech, and enterprise architecture teams for end-to-end solutions involving OMS, ERP, CRM, and CDP integrations.
- Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend commerce platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Commercetools, Adobe Commerce, SAP Commerce Cloud based on client needs.
- Workshops & Documentation: Lead solution design workshops and produce architectural documentation and client presentations.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Manage teams, mentor junior architects, and engage stakeholders for solution buy-in.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging trends and integrate best practices into client solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in commerce architecture, engineering, or related roles, focusing on B2C or B2B models.
- Proven track record with major commerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Commercetools, Adobe Commerce, SAP Commerce Cloud.
- Strong understanding of composable commerce, headless architectures, and API-first development.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for commerce migration projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead diverse teams in delivering large projects on time and within budget.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant commerce certifications (e.g., Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect, Commercetools Certified Solution Architect, etc.).
- Experience with AI-driven personalization, search, and machine learning in commerce.
- Background in consulting or digital agency environments.
