About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Trading Business Analyst to join our team and support energy and commodities trading firms in optimizing the Endur trading platform. You will work closely with traders, risk managers, and IT teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the platform in trading, risk management, and back‑office operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing business requirements
- Configuring Endur functionalities and identifying system improvements
- Troubleshooting issues related to trading workflows
- Ensuring data integrity and facilitating user training
- Generating and presenting reports to key stakeholders
Experiences Required Business Analysis / Project Delivery Experience
- Proven experience in end-to-end project delivery and business analysis
- Strong BA experience including capturing business problems, value drivers and functional/non-functional requirements
- Experience running workshops and user acceptance testing
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in Agile project delivery
Energy Trading & Endur Experience
- Experience of energy trading markets, with a strong understanding of one of the following markets: UK & European Power, UK & European Gas and/or Environmental products
- A working knowledge of different trading instruments, including: OTC transactions – Including forwards, swaps, and simple options; Exchange traded futures & options lifecycle including cascading
- In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following functional areas: Trade capture – complex deal modelling and pricing; Market Risk and risk valuation; Back-Office processes; Accounting processes; EOD; Migrating between ETRM systems
- Proficient with OpenLink Endur Base configurations/Reference Data configurations and a good understanding of the various managers in the tool
- Endur configuration for Deal lifecycle, Confirmations, Settlement invoicing and scheduling
- Experience in establishing and delivering progressively larger and more complex projects/services
- Domain knowledge and skills in ETRM – mainly Endur (v18 or beyond)
- Knowledge of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) Front Office and Operations business processes
- Knowledge of the energy/commodity trading business – Power, Emissions, Gas, Commodities
- Prior experience of Endur covering end-to-end trade lifecycle processes with knowledge of technical aspects of integrating with other ETRM’s
- Experience of financial concepts – P&L, MTM, Financial Risk, Financial Instruments (derivatives traded products), settlements, etc.
- Strong organisational skills managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience of line managing resources and project managing teams
- Experience of leading projects embracing the Cloud Technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience of using different delivery methodologies: Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall
Education And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent – STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) majors (preferred but not essential)
