About Finance RP

Within Accenture, the Finance Reinvention Partner helps clients improve financial performance around the CFO agenda — driving best-in-class performance, and sharper insight and benchmarking across the enterprise. In the UK and Ireland, our Finance RP practice brings together finance strategy and the platforms it runs on, including SAP, Oracle, Workday and EPM. You'd join our Platforms transformation offering within the practice: a growing team delivering large-scale, business-led S/4HANA finance transformations, and building AI into how we deliver.

Why this role

This is where an SAP finance consultant builds the delivery credibility that gets you asked for by name. You'll work on large-scale, business-led S/4HANA finance transformations — sitting with the client's finance team, turning what they need into a working design, and seeing it through to go-live. You'll grow quickly, on real programmes, alongside people who architect this work for a living.

What You'll Bring

  • Your SAP finance expertise. Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance delivery across the core FI and CO modules — General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Asset Accounting; Cost Centre and Profit Centre Accounting, CO-PA, Allocations and Product Costing.
  • You can produce the functional artefacts that hold a design together: Business Process Solution Documents, configuration rationale, and RICEFW specifications, translating business requirements into clear functional designs.
  • You support configuration, validation and testing, and flag risks within your scope early.
  • Experience of Project Systems, Group Reporting or Central Finance is welcome and broadens where you can work.
  • Finance process knowledge. Genuine Record-to-Report depth, with a feel for how the way you configure the system shows up for the CFO: a faster close, numbers people trust, stronger control.
  • Knowledge of a second process — Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay or Product Costing — helps.
  • Delivery and client skills. You own your scope and follow it through, and you support the workstream around you. You're comfortable running workshops and status discussions, managing client expectations and timelines, and holding realistic boundaries.
  • You bring structured, analytical problem‑solving and communicate clearly under pressure.

Ways of working

We're increasingly an AI‑first delivery team — bringing agentic tooling and orchestration into how we design, analyse and validate, with our people owning the judgement and the outcome. If you already work this way, that's a real plus, and we're keen to hear from people bringing that experience.

Who You Are

You take ownership and follow through. You work well in a team and build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues. You bring good judgement and critical thinking to ambiguous problems, and you're clear and considered in how you make and explain decisions. You're early in your trajectory and set on building the rest.

Things that set strong candidates apart:

  • a professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent industry experience);
  • SAP certification;
  • experience of complex, multi‑entity or multi‑country S/4HANA programmes;
  • an awareness of how controls, intercompany or tax considerations shape a finance design.

If you have most of this and the drive to build the rest, we want to hear from you — tell us what you'd bring.

Security clearance

Due to the security requirements of this role, you must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). We'll support you through the clearance related process.

What's In It For You

Alongside a competitive salary and package (dependent on experience), you'll have an extensive benefits package including 30 days’ holiday a year, private medical insurance, and 3 additional days leave a year for charitable work of your choice. Accenture is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of society. Accenture reserves the right to close the role earlier should a suitable applicant be found.
