The role of Business Analyst is available at Accenture UK & Ireland, located in London, with a competitive salary based on experience and at the level of CL8 – Associate Manager.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will play a key role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders, investigating business problems and opportunities, and facilitating the delivery of changes through business analysis techniques and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Discovery leader, planning, conducting, analyzing, and communicating findings to ground design decisions against user needs.
- Intellectually curious, creative problem solver, passionate about solving business problems by creating inclusive, accessible services for diverse user populations.
- Collaborative, supportive, and comfortable working in dynamic and creative environments with different technical experts.
- Co-creator with stakeholders and users, leading workshops and broader inclusive design initiatives.
- Great stakeholder communicator, able to speak fluently to business people, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Guide the analysis, design, and evaluation of process improvements using best-practice methods, tools, and standards.
- Craft and translate business needs into traceable requirements, showing evidence of how solutions meet required needs with measurable value and business priority.
- Comfortable working with the team, reshaping user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
- Elaborate epics and user stories from high-level concepts to \’playable\’ units of work for developers.
- Work closely with the Design and Research team, integrating and enabling user research as part of elaboration and continuous improvement.
- Assist the Delivery Manager/Scrum Master with maintenance of physical and digital Agile boards.
- Articulate the definition of ready/done, user story kick-off, and sign-off.
- Work with other Business Analysts, Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Technical Leads, and QA, as well as external stakeholders on-site.
- Recognized as a subject matter expert and \’go-to\’ person, actively sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Offer expert advice, guidance, and recommendations, drawing on specialist knowledge and experience.
- Advocate for best practices and promote business analysis across Secure Transformation Services.
Requirements
- Previous business analysis experience.
- Leader within the business analysis community.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior business analysts.
- Experience leading projects.
- Experience building and developing business analysis capability and community of practice.
- Knowledge and application of the Requirements Engineering Process and experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience applying various BA techniques, such as Business Process Modeling, Context Diagrams, Use Cases, SWOT analysis, and Business Activity Models.
- Experience working in an agile context and fast-paced, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with prioritization techniques (RoM, t-shirt sizing, MoSCoW, etc.).
- Understanding of user-centric design, including non-functional aspects such as security, privacy, accessibility, performance, and reliability.
