About the Role
We are seeking a TA Engineer/DBA to support the design, administration, and continuous operation of enterprise applications and database environments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining system reliability, availability, and performance across multiple platforms, contributing directly to business continuity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support multiple application platforms, ensuring stable operations, patching, and issue resolution.
- Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical input on integration points such as web services, messaging queues, SFTP, and databases.
- Implement and maintain operational processes including OS patching, application patching, backup, recovery, and housekeeping activities.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and fault-tolerant configurations.
- Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and service disruption.
- Administer and maintain Oracle and/or MS SQL databases, ensuring performance optimization and data integrity.
- Support security compliance by implementing system hardening and vulnerability remediation practices.
- Provide operational support when required, including responding to incidents outside business hours.
Required Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle 19c database administration.
- Strong foundational knowledge in networking and server administration (Windows and Unix/Linux).
- Understanding of enterprise 3-tier application architecture.
- Experience supporting high availability and fault-tolerant systems.
- Hands-on experience in database administration (Oracle and/or MS SQL).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across application and infrastructure layers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of web application architecture from front-end to backend systems.
- Exposure to virtualization, containerization, and cloud infrastructure concepts.
- Experience with IT security practices including system hardening and vulnerability assessments.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate (OGG), Oracle AWR reports.
