As a team:

Accenture Next Gen Engineering is over 1,000 people strong and provides end-to-end product engineering solutions that deliver tangible value, fast. We bring together an obsession for technical excellence with agility and scale to help our clients move from project to product at speed.

We work with clients in every sector, from scale-ups to national and international blue-chip names and the public sector. Our teams routinely build products used by millions of people.

We offer an exciting career in a vibrant environment, with access to training and a global network of experts. As part of our team, you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies and have the opportunity to develop a wide range of new skills on the job.

In our team you will:

We typically work hand-in-hand with our clients to build great digital products for them and their customers. To do this, we need experienced engineers who can deploy their own mastery to get things done hands-on and successfully lead others to do the same. As the nature of our work varies from client to client, there are lots of opportunities to work across new domains and technology stacks.

Our team is dedicated to applying great engineering to achieve great outcomes. Our engineers are known for keeping one eye on value at all times and proposing thoughtful solutions that get the job done efficiently and with low complexity. You would be a key advocate for this approach within the team.

Beyond client work, our engineers are essential contributors to our internal and regional engineering communities. There’s plenty of scope to get involved and help shape conversations around tech you’re interested in, share your knowledge and experience, and learn from colleagues working in diverse problem spaces.

AI

You’ll be expected to use modern AI-assisted engineering practices responsibly (e.g., code generation, test generation, documentation and analysis) and help teams adopt them safely and effectively. This includes understanding model limitations, protecting client data, and improving delivery quality and speed through pragmatic automation.

SRE & Observability

You’ll bring a reliability mindset to delivery, designing services that are operable by default and measured through meaningful SLIs/SLOs. You’ll help teams implement pragmatic observability—logging, metrics, and distributed tracing—with actionable alerting, and you’ll contribute to (or lead) incident response and post-incident reviews that drive learning and measurable improvements.

Job Qualifications

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • You’ve spent a number of years building backend services across different integration paradigms (for example: synchronous API-driven, message-driven and event-driven).
  • You’re fluent in at least one of the following: Java, React, TypeScript or Python.
  • You have recent experience building, deploying and running cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Azure.
  • You’re used to working in DevOps teams with industry-standard practices.
  • You’re used to producing repeatable, automated tests for your own work.
  • You love working with others to build things and solve problems together in an egoless way, regardless of level or role.
  • You have hands-on experience with GenAI, or evidence of actively pursuing personal GenAI projects outside of work
  • Bring a reliability-first mindset to service delivery, designing systems that are operable by default and measured through clear, meaningful SLIs and SLOs.
  • Enable pragmatic observability across services (logging, metrics, distributed tracing), with actionable alerting, and actively contribute to incident response and blameless post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • You’re comfortable with change and always happy to learn something new. As consultants, we flex our roles and technology stacks as needed to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

What’s in it for you

At Accenture, in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package including 25 days’ holiday per year, private medical insurance, and three extra days’ leave per year for charitable work of your choice.
