This role exerts a company-wide cross-functional influence and helps provide strategic leadership or vision to the whole organisation. As ServiceNow Technical Architect you will hold Technical responsibility for applications across the delivery of Professional Services ServiceNow engagements. This includes control of technical scope, adherence to scope and implementation in-line with best practice across all engagements.

As a ServiceNow Lead Developer, you will:

  • Lead the technical implementation and development of ServiceNow solutions across ITOM, IRM, CSM, TSM, Event management, Service Mapping, AIOps, Now Assist, and Agentic AI capabilities.
  • Translate architectural designs and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Design and develop complex workflows, business rules, integrations, portal experiences, automation solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Act as the technical lead for development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards, development best practices, and platform governance.
  • Drive solution quality through code reviews, technical mentoring, and deployment governance.
  • Develop integrations using REST, SOAP, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and external platforms.
  • Implement AI-powered use cases leveraging Now Assist, predictive intelligence, virtual agents, and Agentic AI workflows.
  • Work closely with architects, business analysts, product owners, and client stakeholders to deliver successful solutions.
  • Support troubleshooting, defect resolution, technical documentation, and performance optimisation activities.
  • Contribute to reusable components, accelerators, development standards, and automation frameworks.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure and aligned to ServiceNow best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership to development teams and code reviews.

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • ServiceNow certification in System Administration, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, Implementation Specialist in ITSM, CSM, IRM. Certified Technical Architect certification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of integration architecture, cloud technologies and enterprise platforms.
  • Ability to translate business outcomes into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent client-facing, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub and ServiceNow development frameworks.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations.
  • Strong understanding of platform architecture and integration patterns.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Expertise across ITSM, ITOM, IRM, Customer Service Management (CSM), and Telecommunications Service Management (TSM) is desirable. Experience with AIOps, Now Assist, Agentic AI, and related business process transformation initiatives would be highly advantageous.
  • Exhibits prior and current technical expertise in web technology and the ability to learn new technology.
  • Understanding of and experience selling to enterprise IT architecture.
  • Exhibits strong technical expertise in designing and delivering scoped application
  • SC clearance is desirable, or the ability to obtain SC clearance is required.
