Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Collections Specialist for our client located in Raleigh. The Collections Specialist will report to the Collections Supervisor and is responsible for the collections process for all delinquent balances. In addition to the referral process to external collection agencies, the Collections Specialist is responsible for facilitating contracts related to internally managed settlements and extended payment terms. Once fully trained, there is an opportunity for a HYBRID schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Performing outbound calls and or emails to policyholders and agents regarding delinquent accounts, including sending notifications of past due balances
- Manage polices in the Case Management tool
- Follow up with policyholders and agents as necessary
- Monitor late and final notices on delinquent accounts
- Execute customer interactions with excellent customer service
- Prepare and manage contracts for special payment terms
- Facilitate settlement process for delinquent accounts including contracts
- Process cancellations and reinstatements on delinquent accounts
- Process tasks for starting and stopping dunning
- Review process exceptions
- Partner with other departments on projects
- Escalate cases based on more severe aging of delinquency
Requirements:
- Minimum high school degree, with at least 1-3 years of previous collections experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associates degree in a business field preferred
- Strong Excel skills
- Must have a strong customer service focus
- Strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Property & Casualty Insurance industry experience preferred
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish)
- Show capacity to work in team setting and manage peer relationships
