We’re looking for a Data Protection Coordinator to play a central role in helping us do exactly that. This is an exciting time to join us. With new legislation on the horizon, you’ll help by supporting the timely delivery of information requests, strengthening transparency and supporting our customers to better understand their rights.
As our Data Protection Coordinator, you’ll be key in ensuring we meet data protection legislation and regulatory requirements. You’ll:
- Manage information rights requests, including Subject Access Requests (SARs) and Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs)
- Monitor and support the management of data breaches
- Act as a go-to for data protection queries across the business
- Deliver guidance, training, and practical support to colleagues
- Help embed a culture of compliance, accountability, and best practice
You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, building relationships and making data protection accessible, practical, and meaningful.
Salary: The spot salary for the Data Protection Coordinator post is £32,433 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.
About you: We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and curiosity. You’ll likely have:
- A good understanding of data protection legislation, including some experience of handling SARs and information rights requests
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive, inquisitive mindset - you’re not afraid to ask questions or seek out the right answers
- Confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels and build trusted relationships
- A commitment to doing the right thing and helping others understand why it matters
