Build Your Finance Career While Making a Difference
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Service Charge Officer to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll support the Service Charge Accountant and wider service charge team in delivering accurate service charge budgets, forecasts and accounts. You’ll play a key role in ensuring service charge costs are calculated and allocated correctly, helping us provide a transparent and positive experience for our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and a finance background who enjoys working with data, solving problems and ensuring accuracy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the preparation of service charge budgets, forecasts and year-end accounts.
- Assisting with the calculation and allocation of service charge costs in line with occupancy agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and service charge data.
- Producing customer communications and financial information with a high level of accuracy.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies and identifying potential issues.
- Supporting key finance processes and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Working closely with the Service Charge Accountant and wider Finance team to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
- Contributing to continuous improvements in systems, processes and reporting.
About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including experience working with formulas, large datasets and data manipulation.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, investigate discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to strict deadlines.
- A sound understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Experience using finance systems and working with financial data.
- Part-qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (or actively working towards qualification).
You’ll also be a proactive team player with excellent organisational skills and a problem-solving mindset. The successful applicant will be subject to pre-employment checks, such as DBS and social media screening, before an offer is confirmed.
