Location: Hybrid, Peterborough (1 day a month in the office with occasional travel to other offices)

Salary: £32,433 per annum

Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm

At Accent Group Ltd, we know that how we handle information matters, not just for compliance, but for building trust with our customers and colleagues. We’re looking for a Data Protection Coordinator to play a central role in helping us do exactly that.

Requirements
  • Manage information rights requests, including Subject Access Requests (SARs) and Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs)
  • Monitor and support the management of data breaches
  • Act as a go‑to for data protection queries across the business
  • Deliver guidance, training, and practical support to colleagues
  • Help embed a culture of compliance, accountability, and best practice

You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, building relationships and making data protection accessible, practical, and meaningful.

About You
  • A good understanding of data protection legislation, including some experience of handling SARs and information rights requests
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset – you’re not afraid to ask questions or seek out the right answers
  • Confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels and build trusted relationships
  • A commitment to doing the right thing and helping others understand why it matters

The successful applicant will be subject to pre‑employment checks, such as DBS and social media screening, before an offer is confirmed.

Interviews
  • Stage 1: A Place to Connect - A call with the hiring manager. You’ll learn more about the role and team, and we’ll get to know you – your experience, goals, and what you bring. Planned date: 5th June via Teams
  • Stage 2: A Place to Show Your Strengths - A role related assessment and behavioural and scenario‑based interview focused on how you apply your knowledge to real‑life situations. You'll be asked to complete a Congruity Questionnaire in advance. Planned date: 11th June at our Peterborough office
